Nip/Tuck

O famoso cirurgião plástico Christian Troy (Julian McMahon, “Charmed”) adora seu status de homem bem sucedido e comemora o crescimento da clientela da sua clínica em Miami, que ele divide com o seu melhor amigo Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh, “Everwood”).


Embora o dinheiro e as mulheres continuem satisfazendo as necessidades de Christian, os anos que passou fingindo ser outra pessoa custaram a Sean o distanciamento da sua mulher Julia (Joely Richardson, indicada ao Globo de Ouro) e seus filhos, o adolescente Matt (John Hensley, “Witchblade”), de 17 anos, e a pequena Annie (Kelsey Lynn Batelaan), de 8 anos.


Criado por Ryan Murphy (”Popular”) esse drama médico explora o lado obscuro das cirurgias plásticas e o doloroso — e algumas vezes violento — caminho que leva as pessoas a buscar a beleza externa.


Embora seja uma série muito polêmica, “NIP/TUCK” é um dos programas mais elogiados pela crítica americana, conquistou uma indicação ao Globo de Ouro 2004 de Melhor Série Drama e foi a série estreante mais assistida na tv a cabo americana em 2003.
